Sita, the Ramayana Revisited is a Hindu epic. Sita is the central female character known for her sense of dedication, courage, and purity. She is Ramayana's wife and is abducted by Lawana, the Rakshasa King of Lanka, and is imprisoned by him. Rama, the prince of Ayodhya and his brother came to rescue Sita and to kill Lawana. Lawana is confident of his immortality and thinks he can kill Rama. But he's mistaken; he is killed by Rama and Sita is rescued. When Rama doubts her faithfulness to him, she walks through the fire to show that she is indeed faithful to her husband. Thereafter, Rama and Sita then return to Ayodhya where they were crowned as king and queen.
It was my first time to watch that kind of play. I must admit, it had my attention until the end. I watched and listened carefully. The story line for sure made every one else kept an eye to it. Up to now, I still can't believe that I was able to witness one of the great Asian epics. The actor and the actress did a good job in portraying the role of Rama and Sita. Kudos to the IPAG group for having performed the play with their hearts.
I can't wait for another wonderful theatrical play soon!
